Pai is a small town tucked up in a valley in the mountains of Northern Thailand's Mae Hong Son province.
It attracts all kinds of settlers and tourists, from cool Thai kids to hippy artists to talented musicians to wealthy Bangkok weekenders, all seeking a breath of the cool mountain air that is typical of the area, especially at night.
It is growing quite fast, but for the moment it still retains its rural charm and magical scenery. It is a wonderful place to come and lose your sense of time in, just don't wait too long to visit!
